Manga Studio 5 Trial Issues on Mac

Hey guys, I thought this the best place to look for answers since I can't seem to find help anywhere else. I'm running OS X 10.11.3 on an oldish Macbook Pro. I tried downloading free trials of both Clip Studio Paint Pro from http://www.clipstudio.net/en/dl and Manga Studio 5 from http://my.smithmicro.com/manga-studio-5.html . I installed one, the program would jump a little then not open, uninstalled and installed the other and the same thing happened. I tried this a couple times then gave up. http://www.clipstudio.net/en/support has a support section that has an 'answer' to this problem,but even after trying to follow the steps, I don't seem to have the same options on my computer. The support answer is
